Wow I really like H.M. Jigme Khesar's shoes. This kind of shoes is reserved only for the king? If not, you have one??

Tomorrow I hope you can take a lot of photos and post them on the blog

We have just celebrated our King's 80th birthday on 5 December

Dear Champagne,
Well The Shoe Our Majesty is wearing is The Traditional Shoes which is Worn during Important Occasion. And the Shoes Can be Worn by Any Bhutanese but the Shoes has Some Kind of Strip depending on your Position, Our His Majesty Has Yellow Strip, Ministers Have Orange and it goes one.

your loyalty to your king is just too admirable. now i just wonder if we can ever have that kind of faith and belief in our president our future presidents... and thinking more about this, i think i should just dream on. hahaha such is the cruelty of too much politics and politicking, corruption and self-interests in government where service and the public welfare end up the losers.

Ah! I was there last year, and it was really worth going for the celebrations. His Majesty came by and shook hands with all of us. It was my first time at the celebrations, and I had managed to wangle a VIP invitation from someone I knew who did not want to attend, so kindly gave me two of their invitation cards. :-))
It felt like a very historic moment, because it was his Majesty's first public appearance and speech as the new King. :-))

We were told the fourth King, His Majesty was actually watching the whole thing on TV as BBS was also streaming it live...:-))
