Om Bar : A Good Bar to Hang out in Thimphu

Om Bar, popular amongst the Bhutanese people and foreigner is well situated in Jojo’s Building in the down town. As it location just a step away from Space 34, a popular Party Hall in Thimphu town, Om Bar provides the best of wine and a leisure time for the night or two. The bar is probably the first of its kind in terms of popularity hang out place for a bottle or two. When the Jojo’s Building which is one stop shop in the Thimphu Town during 1999-2000, with people having a busy day in the office or at work place. A relax and leisure night with friend would preferred to drop by Om Bar which is gaining in Popularity amongst the Bhutanese and Foreign who works within Bhutan and some are Tourist.

Om Bar usually gets packed during the party night which falls on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday but is not short of people during week days too. The bar has a more spacious for 50-60 people to relax and sip couple of glasses. The has the interior decoration of it’s own logo which are hung all over the corner and walls and with traditional pure Bhutanese household item displayed in the entrance, the bar is a lively Bhutan.

Recently, the bar got renovated and a discotheque was made for those who want to shake their bum and shed few calories of fat, of late, people taste have changes and Om Bar has been the right place for anyone to walk in and grab hold of beer and wine and have a relax night with friend all around joining for a couple of drinks. During the time of Football world cup and other special events, om bar has it’s own charm in entertaining the customer as a big screen is screened with such events and the cheers and laughter can be heard half a miles.

From Rock and Roll fan to slow music fan, as they gear up the night with full enjoyment, the time ticks away to 2 am in the morning which is official timing for the party time and bar to be closed for the night. Om Bar is ideally for a decent and a lovely evening hang out bar in Thimphu as it serves with the best wine and beer in the town to a one stop meeting place with old friends and family, with crowd gather around the gates of space 34, people know what to drink and how to shake the bum. Eh! Yeah! And that’s what you are bound to get from Om Bar. A Quality and pleasant surprise for all the tourist and people working here as the night life story being told to your friends, family and relatives when you are back to work or back home. I would not miss going there for couple of beer sip and a rock and roll song. Would you join me too??
