His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk the fifth king of Bhutan was so popular amongst the Thai Ladies that they address His Majesty as Prince of Charming during, His Majesty , the then Crown Pince represented His Mjesty the fourth King Jigme Singye Wangchuk to join the 25 countries around the world to pay tribute to His Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej,King of Thailand on the occasion of the 60 years on the Throne.
His Majesty Popularity abroad : Known in the Thai press as Prince Jigme, the prince, at 26 the youngest of the visiting royals, caused a sensation, giving rise to a legion of female fans in Thailand. The Thai press dubbed him "Prince Charming" and ran daily stories and photos about him and tourism in Bhutan for several weeks after he had departed Thailand.

A poll run by the ABAC polling center at Assumption University listed Namgyal as the most popular of the visiting royals. However, the poll was thought by some to be making light of a solemn occasion involving the Thai monarch. Hours after the poll was released, the ABAC center's director, Nophadol Kanika, retracted its results.

Internet visitors to the Thai Internet forum Pantip.com flooded the website with postings about the crown prince. His weekend trip to the Thai island of Phuket was closely followed by the media and the Bangkok Post newspaper wrote: "The prince won hearts with grace and good manners."

His Majesty, a water sports enthusiast, spent his first day sailing from the Royal Phuket Marina and the remainder of his visit, diving at Koh Maithon.

In November 2006, His Majesty returned to Thailand to dedicate the Bhutan Garden at the Royal Flora Ratchapruek Exhibition in Chiang Mai Province. He also accepted an honorary degree from Rangsit University in Bangkok where the University Council has unanimously agreed to confer an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics to His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, in recognition of his substantial contributions in leadership and national development.

One female fan wrote: "Bhutan is my favourite place to visit because of the prince!" Ever since His Majesty's visit to Thailand, TV, radio and newspapers have been talking nonstop about Bhutan and Many people are interested in traveling to the country especially the women.

jigme khesar namgyal wangchuck is da best n most of all he respects woman ....n he neva eva ignores anyone....be it anyone....a baby....kids...old lady...or outsiders...he alys extends his hand n smiles....dats wat matters...im lucky to be born in bhutan...i love my king n his beautiful wife......
