
As the Work for the Changlimithang Stadium is still underway, the construction of the building has started and the base has been laid. The Ground which will host the celebration of 100 years of Monarchy in Bhutan and the official Coronation of His Majesty the Fifth King of Bhutan Druk Gyalpo Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk.
The ground project is been carried out by the Ministry of work and Human settlement and with private contractor carrying out the construction work. Turf is been laid in the Main ground has been dig to ensure a steady and firm growth of grass cover.. As the work keeps going at the moment with extension on the far corner for a larger space for the stand. I will be updating the work time to time till the ground completes for the Grand Celebration in 2008.

SAARC Car Rally Video Clip
Finally, i got the Video of SAARC Car Rally which arrived here in Thimphu, the Capital City of Bhutan Yesterday at around 4:30 Pm in the Afternoon. The Participant were warmly greeted by the school student and the Public. I had the rare opportunity to be with the media person. There were Mask Dance and Traditional dance which was the highlight for the Participant.

Breaking News : SAARC Car Rally Arrives in Thimphu
The 3rd Leg of the SAARC Car Rally Reached Thimphu, the Capital City of Bhutan after a 8 hours of Journey from the Phuntsholing after the rally concluded the 2nd leg in India.
A Traditional Chipdrel Ceremony welcome the participant as they were welcomed by the Government Official and other organization, the crowd burst out when the first car enter the Gate,Student from Thimphu school wave the flag of SAARC nation as the car entered the Capital City of Bhutan.
The home Ministry His Excellency Lyonpo Jigme Y Thinley awarded the Tashi khadar to all the participants in Thimphu Clock Tower Center. A Small Ceremony will take place later in the evening before The Rally move toward the boarder of Indian in Gelephu where they Get Next to Nepal Via India
The SAARC car rally, which started on March 15 in Bangladesh entered the India before coming to Bhutan and then will next get to Nepal Via India.
The rally, a brainchild of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who suggested that such an event be conducted in the lead-up to the 14th SAARC Summit in New Delhi on April 3 and 4, will cover a distance of over 8,200 km by road through varying terrain and will involve participants from eight countries and around 30 vehicles.
One of the main objectives of the exercise would be to enhance people-to-people contact within the region and increase trade activities among constituent countries which will draw the member countries attention for the need of improving transport infrastructure and encourage tourism, economic and business co-operation in the region.
Started from the Cox`s Bazaar of Bangaladesh, the rally entered Indian territory before moving to Bhutan today and will take the southern route of Bhutan and Next to Nepal via india Border. The rally will move into Pakistan through the Wagah border and will touch Lahore, Islamabad and Taxila on its route. As the Rally comes to the closer they Participant will fly to Sri Lanka from Mumbai after the sri lanka leg before leaving to Male the Capital of Maldives where the rally will be formally concluded on April 14.The Participant will have the memorable moment As the Rally savour the contrasting terrain that South Asia offers with Hills in the Himalayan region of Bhutan And Nepal or the Beaches of Sri Lanka and Maldives.India, Pakistan and Bangladesh will have their own way of attracting the tourist.
