Bhutan Themed product of Addidas

Have you ever wonder about Bhutan product Themed by Adidas, well Adidas is a multi billionaire company which has product for all kind of daily necessity. The shoes, the jackets, shirts and lot more. I got this wonderful Idea from Thunderboltpost to share the Gazelle 2 Bhutan shoes which has Themed by Adidas as their products.

Recently Adidas has Come up with new Brand of Shoes which has Bhutan National Flag color and logo in it and named the products as Gazelle 2 Bhutan. They first released in 1968 as an all-around trainer, the Gazelle is back with a new look. Restyled with a shiny leather upper and bold colors that celebrate the beauty of Bhutan.

The Other products is the Jackets and if you are Bhutan fans, celebrate with Adidas jacket that shows your love for all things Bhutanese. Sporting the national colors of red and yellow, it proclaims your pride as sure and true as a well-aimed arrow.

The Photo of the Gazelle 2 Bhutan is courtesy of Flickr User rekanize and if you want to purchase online, click this link which will take you to Adidas Original Store where you can purchase online. The Product looks awesome with the colour of Bhutan Flag

the jacket does look like the bhutan national flag, and it's good. i prefer the black design for women though, if only they have it for men.

Hmmm. I'm a Bhutanese and honestly I'm not too thrilled about a corporation like ADIDAS using national symbols like our flag on shoes. The jacket or whatever that is fine but I think putting another country's flag on someone's shoes for profit is just crass. I guess we are talking about different cultures here. For Americans the flag on some sneakers is perhaps a cool piece of footware for the Bhutanese it is a symbol of national pride. I guess the Bhutanese feel as strongly about this as Americans do when they see people from other nationalities someone stamp on their flag or burn it. If you really want to know how this has upset a nation go here....http://www.bhutantimes.bt/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=648
Those that really cared about American values of respect and tolerance would be appalled at this step by ADIDAS rather than gushing about this.

i am also a Bhutanese as well as being an avid sneaker collector. All of the major sports shoes companies have themed collections, and almost every country has been represented in this way (many which simply have a picture of the flag on the side or heel as opposed to using elements and references). I can see why some people may be upset but it should not be taken in this context

This is preposterous....how can u people even think of buying the shoe and wearing it? the bhutanese flag is a very sacred symbol for us bhutanese people and the thought of being worn as a design for a shoe is truely insulting. Adidas should be sued for doing such a thing. did they even bother to check out the full symbolism of the flag? or did they just totally not care about the sentiments of the bhutanese people? is money making all they really care about?
